Alongside participating in Photography x Mental Health exhibition in Amsterdam, I was commissioned to make an aftermovie about its opening. I didn't want to create a typical event aftermovie (they often tend to be just quick montages of b-roll edited to music).
Working with producer Sarah Picolet, I created an interview-based film. The opening sequence contains excerpts from opening speech by Steve Wallington of The Photography Movement and proceeds to include statements from Willem Smit of Mind, the artists participating in the exhibition, and the audience.
